News about the World's Biggest Pub Quiz

With the event still more than two months away, 100 venues all over the UK have already signed up to take part in the inaugural World's Biggest Pub Quiz on 25 March 2010.

The quiz is being held to raise funds and awareness for the Family Holiday Association, a UK charity that gives deprived children a much-needed family break.

Family Holiday Association Fundraising Manager Joe Hipgrave said, "We hope to help at least 3,500 children with a break this year, most of whom will have never seen the sea before. We're really grateful to all the venues who have signed up so far, as their efforts will go a long way to helping us achieve our goal.

"We've made it so easy for everyone to take part. We're providing the questions, the promotional materials and it's simple to register on our website www.bigpubquiz.org.

"We hope to see pubs from John O'Groats to Land's End filled with quiz-goers on the 25th of March!"
