So, what's it all about?

Hundreds of pubs and venues, UK-wide. Thousands of people. Same questions. Same week. Same buzz. The event? The Big Pub Quiz Challenge!

2012 sees the Big Pub Quiz Challenge taking place for a third year, after its launch in 2010 It is a nationwide event that raised funds for and awareness of the Family Holiday Association’s work helping disadvantaged children access a much needed family break away from home.

Hundreds of quizzes have registered to take part over the past two years, and the event has raised thousands of pounds for the charity.

Some of the highlights included:

• The World’s highest quiz
• The World’s deepest quiz
• A quiz in the House of Commons
• A quiz on board a Royal Navy frigate in the Indian Ocean

We are doing it again!

From 22nd – 28th October 2012 thousands of people up and down the country will be taking part. And you could be one of them! It’s all about having a great night out, being a part of a nationwide event and supporting a worthy charity.

The best thing is, it's so easy for everyone to get involved!

You can:

• Form a team of 4-6 and take part in a quiz in your local pub
• Ask your local pub's manager to hold a quiz
• Organise your own quiz in a pub or other venue
• Get your workplace involved

Who's already taking part?

First Choice and Thomson are great supporters of the Family Holiday Association as part of their parent group TUI UK & Ireland, and staff from these and other TUI UK & Ireland companies will be holding quizzes all around the UK in their local pubs. 

And Greene King will be holding quizzes in all of their Hungry Horse pubs, so check out the one nearest to you!

However, there are around 54,000 pubs in the UK, so we need your help to get as many as possible involved to help smash the world record! Search for a quiz to see if your local pub is taking part - and if they're not, get them involved!
